I have always thought of denim as a winter/autumn piece, as it is made out of quite a thick material and is great to keep you warm in the colder months. However, a while ago when the spring/summer range came into the shops, I picked up this denim dress from Topshop. It has taken me a while to get round to having the confidence to wear it, as it was a little bit out of my comfort zone.

It’s made me realise that denim is great for Summer especially in dress form as it can keep you slightly warm but also cool at the same time! I love the feel of the denim material as it is not too rough and bulky, as denim can sometimes be. The structure of the dress is amazing too as it is not to body hugging but it’s comfortable and slightly baggy!

Sometimes it's good to come a little bit out of our comfort zones, and try something new!

My Summer Purchases

Recently I have done quite a bit of shopping for Summer! This Summer I am trying to buy clothes that are a little bit out of my comfort zone and widen my style and try new things.

So the items of clothing in this post are all from Asos, and I am an Asos newbie! I honestly prefer to go shopping, rather than buying on the internet, but I thought I would give it a try as I know LOADS of people love and live by Asos! My experience so far has been great, I love the items I have bought and they are good quality too which is always a bonus. I would highly  recommend Asos, as I know sometimes when you buy clothing online it's not always as good as it looks and can be really bad quality, but Asos was not like this at all.

The first thing I bought was this red boxy top, which I absolutely love! It’s so bright and cheerful and I actually have no red in my wardrobe. I have also always thought that brighter colours look better closer to my face, as I have such dark hair, and I think darker colours sometimes wash me out a bit.

Next I bought this playsuit which is navy blue with white spots, but I would say its more black than navy blue, but anyway... This piece is missing panels at both sides (don’t worry, its meant to come like that), so it means that a top underneath is necessary unless you like to go partially naked (your choice?!). This means that you are able to add a bit of your own thing to the outfit, by changing the colours underneath to suit you.

The final item I bought was a pair of shorts, because you know that you can never have enough shorts for summer! They are just a plain black pair, but they have a really pretty scallop detailing along the edge. They are made out of quite a thin fabric, and they have a small zip on the side and a button on the inside. These shorts would be great for both day and evening wear as they could be easily dressed up, and look fancy by dressing them with a nice pair of heels or wedges!

The Bomber Jacket

I ordered a quilted bomber jacket online a couple of months ago and I have been loving it! It’s perfect for the English weather at this time of year when you want to cover up when it’s slightly breezy!

The one I picked up was from Boohoo, and it was relatively cheap so I was slightly worried about the quality, but given that I have worn it loads and loads it had been really good and shows hardly wear on the fabric.

I have had so many comments on it, and the softness of the fabric and I really think this was a good buy! I bought the jacket in grey as I thought it would go well with most things but it also comes in lilac and soft blue. I highly recommend this jacket!

What jackets have you been loving this spring/summer?

Hello and welcome to my blog!

I really hope you enjoy scrolling and reading through the variety of my posts dedicated to fashion, and hopefully this will give you tips and ideas for your own style!

I decided to start blogging to share my passion for fashion with you and to write about anything and everything about it. I am learning so much about fashion and about my own personal style and what works, what suits me, where to shop and where not to shop. I would also like to work out whether I would enjoy and be capable of somehow working in the fashion industry.

I  hope that this blog will help and be a good place to learn and share and that someone somewhere will find my posts helpful in some way, or even enjoy reading them to get some tips and explore the current trends.

I would love any feedback that you might have and it would be great if you could leave any comments on any blog posts you would like to see!

Love, Rosi x
